![]() ![]() MD5 and SHA1 have been phased out for security applications because of the increased collision risk. A collision is when source material matches a certain hash. If a hash is longer, the chance of a "collision" decreases. Chances that two different files have the same hash is rather high, because the hash is very short. The most common CRC type is CRC32 and is 8 chars long. This is used to verify, that the file has been unpacked successfully. When you pack a file into a zip or rar archive, the CRC of the original file is calculated and added to the archive. SHA-1 - BFEFF3DC052EA7E697AC48D73A74352CB8FF5E6Bįirst of all, a hash is always present and it has nothing to do with packing or unpacking archives. These hashes's are the Rar file hashes (not extracted). IF your hashes do not match with these, DO NOT USE IT! That is all, I am giving you guys a warning! Do not come crying saying "Voksi is giving us a virus". ![]() Scan everything with virus total (they send it to virus protection companies). Because it's fresh, the virus could still be FUD(fully undetected) from virus scanners for possibly 1-7 days depending on the crypter and how long it takes for virus companies to add in the files. Just to be clear, I cannot confirm nor deny there is a virus lurking in the shadows. To be safe, please use the official download from Voksi's thread in revolt forums. The hash from zippyshare and revolt forums do not match. I cannot confirm there is a virus or not in there because I do not have the time. ![]()
